Prior to stepping into my current position I resided in a classroom for over 25 years. I have grown through teaching infants/toddlers to high school seniors, from ESOL to Varied Exceptionalities. I have no favorite age or grade, all of God’s children are amazing! I am a widowed mother of three and gramma to seven. It is my responsibility to compliment, support and involve parents in the education of their children, as well as, encourage and provide resources for a strong Christian faith foundation for all family members.
I am Mrs. Estelle & I come from Minneapolis, Minnesota. I have been married to Mr. Doug since 1978 and we have a grown son, who is married with 3 daughters and 1 son. I love having children in my life. I have worked with kids for over 45 years, starting in high school, with a nanny job every summer. I worked in the Minneapolis public school system, while my son was in K-5th grade, and then had an in-home day care for over 15 years, turning it into a preschool the last 5 years.
My husband wanted to leave Minnesota, because of the winters, so we sold our house & all daycare furnishings, to buy an old Pace Arrow motor home, and hit the road in Dec 2002. We loved traveling with our motorcycle sidecar, too! We traveled the United States for a few years, until Oct 2006, when we settled in Mesa. I became the closing teacher at Noah’s Ark, when we joined Bethlehem Lutheran. Then in 2008, I took the office manager position, and love welcoming the familes each day from my desk.
My name is Susan Gonzalez and I have had the privilege of teaching at Christian Preschools since 2003. I currently have my Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential. I have taught children age 3 through 4 as well as after care school- age children.
I have been married to my wonderful husband Xavier for 34 years and have 3 grown sons and 2 grandsons. I love spending time with my family. My husband and I are active members at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and enjoy teaching Kidz Church together.
My goal for your child is to be a happy well adjusted learner, who looks forward to coming to school. I love seeing children smile, have fun exploring and get excited when they have learned something new. They always make me laugh and feel like a kid again. I look forward to sharing the love of Jesus with you and your child.
My name is Danielle Hedman. The kids call me Ms. Danii. Like many others in Arizona, I am a transplant from Wisconsin. I have been here since 2007. I am the mother of 2; a 4 year old girl who thinks she is going on 15, and a 2 year old boy. My background is in criminal sciences and art. I am looking forward to teaching art to our kindergartners, and exploring other art possibilities with the younger classes.
I am Ms. Brigitte. I moved to Arizona from Panama in 2001. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Education. Teaching at Noah’s Ark Preschool and Kindergarten is truly a blessing for me. My mission is to set each child on the path to grow in God’s love and grace through His word. In my classroom we will learn many wonderful truths that God has provided for us through Bible lessons, stories, music and more. We will strive to strengthen our listening and social skills, as well as all other academic areas.
Ms Brigitte speaks fluent Spanish, and is most helpful in communicating with Hispanic families.
My name is Terri Acosta and I have been in the teaching profession since 1991, but I have had the privilege of working at Noah’s Ark for 14 years. I have an AA degree in Secretarial Sciences, but am currently working towards my AA in Early Childhood Development.
I have been married to Mr. Dan for 39 years, have 2 married children, and 4 of the most incredible grandchildren. I am thankful that we all live in Arizona. Mr. Dan and I are very active within our church community, with emphasis on strengthening the bonds of married couples through God’s word and grace.
I love being a teacher of young children. They are like flowers just waiting to open and show their glory every day. Each day is a new adventure, and the children always make me laugh. Let us explore God’s wonderful world together.
Hi, my name is Mrs. Yvette. I have been teaching since 1994 and have taught children age 2 through 12. Mr. Rod and I have been married since 1982 and have a grown daughter. Teaching and sharing my love of the Lord with my students is my greatest joy. Some of my best days are when I see a child’s face light up when they learn something new. I cherish the idea of sharing God’s word with every child and helping develop their young minds. I look forward to meeting and working with you.
I am Ms. Denise. I am a single mother of one wonderful son. I have been working with the teachers at Noah’s Ark since 2004. My joy is getting to know all the children at our school. I have the privilege of sharing their gladness and their sadness daily. I enjoy floating through each classroom, helping where needed and sharing God’s love and my own with all the students.
I look forward to new small friends each year. Come, join our family at Noah’s Ark Preschool and Kindergarten. Our door is open to all who want to grow in God’s love and grace.
I’m Mrs. Arlene or “Grandma” to the kids. I am the mother of 2, grandmother of 11, and great-grandmother of 6. I have been with Noah’s Ark since 2008. My duties have included front desk afternoon manager, outreach supervisor, faith map coordinator, and grand boo-boo cuddler. One of my most important and enjoyable duties is keeping track of our families younger members. I love acknowledging birthdays and milestones with cards, books, and other goodies.
